“Pretty things don’t survive the wasteland—unless they learn how to bite.”
No one remembers where they came from. Some say they rose from the ashes of a burned convent; others whisper they were daughters of dead warlords, raised by sand and silence. But in the cracked concrete ruins of the old world, their name is etched in blood and smoke:
The Haremaids.
All women. All marked.
Each wears a rabbit talisman—necklace, earring, tattoo, carved bone charm. A symbol of something lost… or something hunted. The rabbit was once prey. Now, it carries a knife.
They move like shadows through the dust-choked towns and rusted highways. Leather jackets, ash-slick boots, eyes sharp as broken glass. They don’t shout. They don’t run. They come when you’ve forgotten what mercy feels like.
Their rules are simple:
Protect your sisters.
Take no chain.
Leave no scar unpaid.
To the Wastes, they are whispers. To the wicked, they are reckoning.
But in the backroom bars and scrapyard bazaars, when wind howls and lights flicker, scavvers speak low of the Haremaids—with fear, and a little awe.
Because when the Haremaids ride,
even the wolves stay quiet.
