Foleo was born from the Goblin tribe’s “Virgin of Mold” incident: after his mother consumed a rotten sacramental wafer, she gave birth to this mold-spotted infant upon a heap of refuse. Abandoned beneath the crypts of St. Benedict’s Monastery, he survived by gnawing on ancient bones and poisonous mushrooms. From a rusted reliquary he unearthed the Plague Manuscript, using twisted church rites to corrupt sacred scripture into spells of decay.
His ascension ritual replaced holy blessing with corpse-worms burrowing into his skull, an event revered by the Crypt Church as the “Descent of the Corrupt Spirit.” He was granted the title “Shepherd of Maggots.” Obsessed with treasure, he adorned the papal crown with excessive splendor, and forged a new Crypt Scepter from Saint Peter’s gold and the ribs of apostates.
At last, during the “Festival of Molded Communion,” he murdered his own elder brother, Goleo, and devoured his organs in ritual feast. Thus he became the dark lord of the Crypt Church’s doctrine of “Immortal Corruption.”
